I don't know about you guys but love to hunt with a lever action! I currently own a 1964 Marlin 336RC chambered in 35rem (bottom) and a 1999 Marlin 444P Outfitter. The 35rem has the XS Sights and Scout rail and will be getting a Leupold Scout Scope. The 444P does not have the 3-9 on it anymore that is in the picture. I plan on putting a 2-7 on it later this year. Both guns will mainly be used for pig hunting down in Georgia. I hope to take a black bear with the 444P sometime in the near future.

I totally know what your saying about the lever guns. It is funny, I have been in the business of buying and trading guns for about 30 years now, besides guns for work I had never bought a lever gun for personal use. Sure there were a few Savage 99's that were bought and instantly sold or traded for a good profit, but I never had a regular lever gun in all of these years. Then one day my wife's 90 year old grandfather was moving out of his own home and he told me that there was something he wanted me to have, with that he handed me a rifle case. We have been married for 20 years and I am very close to Papa, but in all this time I never knew that this man had a rifle, we talk about our military experiences all the time but he never brought up the gun. After I got back home I opened up the case and there is a perfect Marlin 336C in 30-30 that hadn't been fired, let alone taken out of the case, since the late 70's. Like I said, I have never been big on the lever guns but this thing is so much fun to shoot, especially with lite cast loads. I love to take family out shooting and everyone loves shooting the old 336, I did add a limb saver recoil pad to it just so the recoil wouldn't scare the kids. I am a trader, but this is one gun that I will never sell, after all it is my Papa's gun.
