We'll start with the project I already finished up......
Started life as a bone stock 5.5" Redhawk .44. She was well-worn but in great shape mechanically.
Mods I did to her........
Complete tear down
Trigger job
Polished the trigger, hammer, cylinder release, cylinder flutes and rear of the cylinder
Bead blast on entire pistol
Drill and tap a Weigand mount
Added a Simmons Pro-Hunter 2x6
She currently resides in my old man's stable........
Secondly, "Project Ol' Man".......
Started life as a 5.5" Ruger Vaquero .44 Magnum. Got the project off the ground and getting her lined out bit by bit. This will be a gift for my Dad for Christmas.
Mods............
Complete tear down
New bbl, Green Mountain 1-20 left twist a 6". Barrel is turned, threaded and crowned. Forcing cone still has to be chamfered in and lapped
New sights, will get a S&W Mod 60 adjustable rear and new front
Cylinder faced and cylinder gap set
Round Butt conversion
Few more personal touches to be added........
