I like casting bullets. I know most folks probably shoot jacketed but theres something to be said for a 250-270 Keith style bullet taking game. Ive just started playing with gas check bullets so we'll see how that goes. Just wanted to see if there are any other caster out there.

I prefer shooting cast in any of my under 2000 FPS cartridges, the cost difference alone makes it worthwhile, but when you add in that the lighter loads along with the lighter pressures and the lighter recoil they are really winners. I love to take kids and newcomers out shooting so the light cast loads really help out, that way a 12 or 13 year old kid can have the chance to shoot a multitude of service rifles without the worry of excessive recoil ruining their day. Now I have not yet taken the step of casting myself so I am buying my bullets, but that might be changing soon.

Nice. Next weekend I'm gonna sit down and try to cast alot. Most of my casting happens in the winter though, but my supply has been running low. I'm also gonna try to cast for my buddys 50 Beowolf, we'll see how that goes.

Weather has been nice for a change around here, even got a bit of rain in the last few weeks. Not much fun casting when the temps hover around 100*.
